Today, 51 students are studying at Indirabai Waman Bade Karnabadhir Vidyalaya. This school is open for all students with hearing disabilities. There are 5 steps available before the standard 1st, and further facilities are available till 4th standard. Along with standard education, school also provides the training for Lip reading, pronunciation and usage of sign-language. However they are always encountered to utter the words. Trained teachers try to make them speak. The individual hearing aid and group hearing aid play very important part in it.
All the students participate equally in sports, dances and other activities. Students also participate in Drawing examinations and track record has been appreciable for all the drawing examinations. Students has also not only participated but also achieved success and appreciation in various sports events, including state level events.
To ensure to these hearing disabled students a self-sufficient life, we impart training in Stitching, Embroidery, File making, Candle and waxworks and many such vocational courses, so that they should be able to earn their bread in the practical life. It is a great joy to the school to note that 11 of the past students have got married and are leading a very normal life.
